WDLC teaches mathematics in the context of weather.

Covering a full range of 4th grade math concepts students:

  • apply math concepts to weather maps and data
  • use and apply weather data and knowledge with inquiry-based activities
  • collect, interpret and analyze weather data while practicing with model test questions

Since its release in 2004, WDLC has increased student achievement in both high and low performing schools.

Teacher training, online (live with an instructor), gives teachers a background in weather and the test-taking strategies to facilitate the three phases of the program.
