Live, Online K-12 Teacher Training: 1-hour Interactive Session (for teachers) on new, NASA STS-118 Curricular Modules
receive “seeds from space” at no cost from NASA
Learn how to engage your students and teach life, physical, Earth, and space science in the context of STS-118 with the spaceflight of Mission Specialist and educator Barbara Morgan! Using both the Internet (for interactions and visuals) and a telephone (audio) at the same time (no headsets required), you'll immerse yourself in NASA's new classroom activities: Fit Explorer and the Engineering Design Challenge. These and other activities blend rich themes of energy, microgravity, and colonization.
In collaboration with NASA’s Teaching from Space Office, U.S. Satellite Laboratory, Inc. is training over 1000 teachers to participate during the 2007-2008 school year. Take the training from home or work.
You will be provided with the training website address and a toll-free number when the session fills, or no less than 3 days before the session.
